The Chronicles of Brussels, Part II – Dinner

The first night in Brussels was a quiet one, with only two of us there for dinner.

So we went off into the chilly night in search of food.

And found this cute cafe (Europe’s full of cute cafes, lol) a few blocks from our hostel.

I don’t know if I mentioned this, but in Brussels, people speak three languages. French, Dutch, and English. Many languages. So I had to flip all the way to the back of the menu (it was triply thick) to get something I could read…

And then I saw…Bread: White/Grey.

Lulz.

Fancy water. This was the beginning of the hard lesson of learning how to say “tap water please”.

It was filling, if not delicious…

And the colors make for pretty pictures.

Not a bad first meal in a new city. :)
