How Bentley Spoils Me

  • Dining halls that don’t close until 9. (Here, everything goes on break from 2:30 – 5:30.)
  • Constant, consistent Wi-Fi. (I think the complaints of Bentley kids were the loudest when the wifi was still a bit dodgy the first few days.)
  • American keyboards.
  • Printers that make sense and don’t require manual input.
  • Friends.
  • Appropriate amounts of reading.
  • The ability to do laundry easily.
  • Emailing me when I have packages.
  • Roommates.
  • Not making us actually use the books in the library.
  • Walls that block out (most) noise.
  • The ability to watch foodnetwork videos on YouTube.
  • Understanding that I need more than one solitary drawer. (I honestly wouldn’t mind a smaller bed, RHUL…priorities, goodness.)
  • Seasons.
  • Computers that don’t take a full seven minutes and twenty three seconds to start up…
  • Meetings
  • Not requiring me to actually physically sign things with pens…pens! I haven’t used pens on campus since….ever…
  • Personal, locked mailboxes
  • The shuttle.
  • Sunlight.
  • An abundance of Asian sauces
  • Hotpot
  • Offices that actually open at appropriate times of the day (i.e. places that don’t tell you they’re on break at 2PM on a Wednesday afternoon)
  • Heated staircases? Or at least appropriate maintenance of snow…
  • Midterms.
  • Multiple choice questions.
  • No essays.
  • No need for the library (did I say that already? It’s important.)
  • Not making me pay extra for sauce packets (ketchup…)
  • Texting me when the laundry’s done.
  • Wendy’s.
  • The ability to text :( (not Bentley-specific, per se, but still counts.)
  • Cell phone reception.
  • Free (kinda) printing, or my own printer.
